Prof. Mikhail Glyavin

Bio: 

Mikhail Glyavin was born in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, in 1965. He received the Ph.D. degree and Dr. Sci. degree in physics from the Institute of Applied Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, in 1999 and 2009, respectively. After graduation of the Politechnical Institute, Gorky, USSR, in 1988, he joined the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IAP RAS, where he is engaged in the development of high-power gyrotrons for nuclear fusion and other applications. His dissertation was focused on studies of gyrotrons, development of gyrotron based systems for technological applications and more specifically on methods for increasing the gyrotron efficiency and mastering of THz band. From 1999 up to now, at intervals, he was a Visiting Professor at the FIR FU Center, Fukui, Japan. Currently, he is a Deputy Director of Research at IAP RAS, a Head of Gyrotron division of IAP RAS and a Head of the Laboratory of microwave treatment of materials at IAP RAS. M. Glyavin is a leading specialist and worldwide renowned scientist in the fields of radiophysics and physical electronics. His research interests are in the field of the theoretical and experimental investigations of various gyro-devices, including gyrotrons and their application to materials processing and diagnostic of various media (H=25, more than 250 papers, 2500 citations). Among his remarkable results are the following: a study of the processes of interaction of helical electron flows with eigenmodes of various electrodynamic systems and the proposal of new principles and design of various gyro-devices; development of a series of technological complexes for microwave processing of materials with increased efficiency and functionality; the formation of the foundations of a new promising direction - powerful sources of radiation in the terahertz frequency range. Under his leadership and with his direct participation, record-breaking frequencies, powers and spectral characteristics of the radiation of gyro devices were achieved both in pulsed and continuous modes of generation; pioneering work on initiating a localized gas discharge, experiments on gas spectroscopy with record sensitivity were performed. M. Glyavin conducts teaching work, supervising graduate students and students, and lecturing at the University of Nizhniy Novgorod N.I. Lobachevsky. He manages the collaborative research with the Research Center for development of the Far-Infrared Region at the University of Fukui (FIR UF) in Japan (FIR FU, Fukui, Japan), and the University of Maryland in the US.


Prof. Xiaoliang Tian

The director of the Institute of Energy Engineering, Qingdao University, China




Bio: 

Prof. Xiaoliang Tian graduated from Tianjin University in March 1992 with a Ph.D. degree in Engineering Thermophysics. In 1998, he was honored as a professor of Qingdao University. Now he is the director of the Institute of Energy Engineering, Qingdao University.


His main research fields include energy saving technology of heat pump and heat pipe, efficient energy transport technology, etc. He creatively proposed the "Dynamic Heat Pipe System" and organically combined the "Dynamic Heat Pipe System" with heat pump energy-saving technology. He has declared 36 national invention patents, among which 25 have been authorized.


In view of the bottleneck problem of "continuous production in summer and plum rain season", Professor Tian successfully developed high-end central air conditioning equipment. The equipment has been demonstrated and applied in Shandong Dain Marine Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., with a total cooperation fund of more than 50 million yuan. The new equipment ensures continuous production 365 days throughout the year, improving production efficiency and economic benefits. After the application of this equipment in the past five years, the output value of Dain Company has increased by about 1.9 billion yuan compared with the previous five years, and the profit and tax have increased by about 850 million yuan.


For decades, Professor Tian has been deeply thinking about the mysteries of the universe and life while engaging in the research and application of thermophysical technology. The phenomena of antimatter, dark matter and dark energy discovered by modern science have further enhanced Professor Tian's interest in the universe and life. Can a model of the universe be found that organically links modern scientific research on matter with the phenomena of antimatter, dark matter and dark energy? After more than 30 years of analysis and research, Professor Tian proposed a new "quantum eleven dimensional space-time hypothesis". This theory will be able to provide a new way of thinking for human to comprehensively understand the phenomena of the universe.




Prof. Yongbo Li

School of Aeronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China




Bio: 

Dr. Yongbo Li is currently working as an associate professor in the school of aeronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China since 2017. He also worked as a visiting scholar in University of Alberta, Canada & University of Huddersfield, England. He received the Ph.D. degree in general mechanics from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 2017. He has published nearly 55 peer reviewed papers on international journals as the first or corresponding author. Among them 35 are published as the first/corresponding author, 12 are published in the top journals listed by Chinese Academy of Sciences such as IEEE transaction of industrial electronics (TIE), mechanical system and signal processing (MSSP), journal of nondestructive evaluation (NDE), IEEE transaction of instrumentation and measurement (TIM) etc. and three papers are published in mid category journal IEEE Transaction on instrumentation and measurement (TIM). Published SCI papers have been cited more than 1000 time in total (the highest citation for an individual SCI paper is 185 times), highest 5 papers cited in a single publication, 9 papers have been selected as ESI highly cited papers, 1 paper has been selected as ESI hot paper, 1 paper has been awarded PHM “Best Paper Award”, 1 paper has been awarded JSEE best paper of the year and 1 paper has been awarded second prize of Xi’an Natural Science Excellent Academic Paper. He has also delivered 8 invited reports in international/domestic academic conferences. He has won the Chinese Society of Mechanics Discipline Excellent

Award, selected into the “Boxin program” and won the “First Prize” of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Colleges and University etc. He also managed 8 projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project, Military Commission Science and Technology Commission projects etc. Currently he serves as the associate editor of the internationally recognized journal “Measurement”. He also serves in the “Youth Editorial Board” of the EI journal “Journal of Transportation Engineering”. His research interests include entropy theory, condition monitoring and fault diagnosis.
